The Lang Park PCYC is delivering exciting active and healthy activities for children and adults on behalf of Brisbane City Council’s Active and Healthy Program - Active Parks:

For Adults:

4 Week Fit Camp Challenge:  The time has come to face the music and get fitter, stronger and leaner for winter! Two free classes per week for 4 weeks! No fancy equipment, no fancy gyms and no excuses! You will be provided with a supportive and fun environment that allows you to excel in your fitness.


When: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6am - 7am

            22nd April - 15th May 2014

Where: Norman Buchan Park,

            Baroona Road, Paddington

            Meet by the playground.


Cost:     FREE

Bring:   Exercise shoes, clothes, towel

             and water

Deaf Youth Futures Activity Day

As part of National Youth Week, Deaf Sports & Recreation Queensland (DSRQ) and Lang Park PCYC will be running a FREE Deaf Youth Futures program for Deaf and Hard of Hearing young people and their friends, that provides fun, accessible activities and creates greater awareness of Deaf Culture and experience. There’s heaps of fun stuff planned, including Deaf Youth Leadership Workshop, Deaf Youth Futures Forum, Theatre Sports, Hip Hop, Break dancing, Dodge ball, Handball, a Movie and the chance to learn basic Australian Sign language.

Deaf Youth Futures Program will be held on Monday the 7th and Tuesday the 8th of April 2014 at Lang Park PCYC, Suncorp Stadium, 40 Castlemaine Street Brisbane. 

There are two events within the program:

Deaf Youth Awareness workshop:

Monday 7th 10 am -12 pm

Deaf Youth Futures Activity Day: Tuesday 8th 9:30am -9:00pm

Deaf Youth Futures is a drug and alcohol free event for Deaf and Hard of Hearing young people and their friends aged 10-18 years.

Welcome to the Lang Park PCYC website

The Lang Park PCYC was the first branch of the Queensland Police-Citizens Youth Welfare

Association to open its doors in 1949. The club was a thriving community centre providing a large

variety of sporting and recreation activities through to arts classes, dances and a Junior Boys band.

The club is proud of its strong heritage and it is still today a prominent community centre providing

activities for all members of the community at very affordable prices. The Lang Park PCYC is also

committed to providinga safe and healthy environment for young people with a focus on youth

Come and DANCE the night away at our YOUTH DISCO!

There's loads of fun to be had with a professional

DJ hosting the night! Tickets are available at the door

for $6. Drinks and snacks will also be available for

purchase. The night will be well supervised, however

any parents wishing to hang around are more than

welcome to.

Looking for a gym??

We have a 200 sqm weights room equipped with pin machines

and free weights with a separate air-conditioned Cardio

equipment room.

There are no lock in contracts and you can pay casual,

unlimited use for $55 per month or $460 per year up-front or

$10.95 per week direct debited fortnightly. (cheaper rates for

seniors and concession card holders)

'TODDLER PLAYTIME' time in the Tiny Tots room (5yrs and under)

Monday to Friday

1.30 - 3.00pm



Children MUST be accompanied by an adult at all times.



6 - 12 years

Wednesdays 4.30pm - 5.30pm


Yoga 4 Kids involves playing, dancing, moving, breathing and relaxing

through a combination of yoga poses, games, breathing and visualisation

exercises. The class encourages and develops coordination, emotional calm,

physical strength, body awareness, flexibility and self confidence.

Getting your child into fitness doesn't have to
mean competitive sports.

Our classes strive to increase the overall health
and fitness of the children in a fun, safe,
positive and motivating environment by
utilizing obstacle courses, fitness games,
partner activities, body weight exercises,
resistance bands, circuits and more.

* Mini Muscles Monday 4.15pm (ages 6 - 12 years) *



Creative DANCE Class     

When - Wednesdays 3.30pm - 4.30pm

Cost - $8 per class

Age - 3.5 to 5 year olds

Creative Dance allows children to express themselves through dance and

movement while further encouraging their development of coordination,

balance, creativity and rhythm.

Class numbers are limited to 16 children to ensure that there is enough

space to run, jump and dance.

Monday 11.15am - 12.00pm

A fun and energetic space for toddlers (3 - 5yrs) to play, explore and

express themselves through movement. This class supports the established

Tiny Tots program by providing focused time for children, to further develop

their coordination, balance, body awareness, creativity, language and rhythm.


Beep Test

From 2014 the Beep Test will be run every Monday at 5pm
